Be a JWU World Traveler: Explore Study Abroad

10/28/19 | Did you know that JWU Study Abroad oversees more than 80 programs all over the world? (This includes programs they oversee directly, as well as partnership programs with other institutions.) And it’s possible to start traveling as early as your first year at JWU — students from all campuses (including the College of Online Education) can apply. (A limited number of programs are also open to non-JWU students.)

2019 Faculty Showcase Highlights Research + Expertise

In late September, faculty and other members of JWU’s academic community came together to celebrate scholarship and exchange ideas at the 3rd annual Faculty Scholarship Showcase. Faculty were invited to submit presentation proposals aligned with the Boyer Model of Scholarship for inclusion in this showcase. (The branch campuses will hold their own Showcases throughout the Fall.)

Students Get Wellness Advice + Recharge at the Good Life Expo

From studying and test-taking to finding the elusive work/life balance, college is crammed so full of rapid-fire new experiences that self-care often falls to the bottom of the to-do list. To remedy this, JWU Providence Health Education — in collaboration with multiple university departments, including Human Resources and Counseling Services — holds an annual Good Life Expo to actively engage the greater JWU community around issues of health and wellness.

Wildcat Willie Takes on Boston Bruins Fan Fest

The Boston Bruins Fan Fest Tour made its stop in Providence on Sunday, August 25, and Wildcat Willie was there to join in the fun. As the official education partner of TD Garden and the Boston Bruins, JWU was excited to have the Bruins just a few blocks away from its Providence Campus at the Alex and Ani Center.

Explore Robotics, Food + Forensics: JWU Summer Camps for Kids + Teens

5/8/19 | This summer, Johnson & Wales University (JWU) is offering kids and teens an alternative to traditional summer camp. JWU Summer Camps, taught by the university’s industry-experienced faculty and held on its Providence campus, are reflective of the university’s signature academic programs. Camps are designed for young people interested in culinary arts, baking & pastry arts, criminal justice, and engineering & design.

JWU Wrestling Captures 3rd NCAA Regional Title

2/25/19 | JWU Wrestling captured their 3rd regional championship in a row this past weekend at the NCAA Division III Regionals, which were hosted at JWU’s Providence Campus.

JWU Providence to Host NCAA Division III Wrestling Regional

2/20/2019 | This February 23 and 24, JWU Providence will be hosting the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Wrestling Regional.

In addition to JWU’s top-ranked Wrestling team, the regional will also feature Bridgewater State, Castleton, the Coast Guard Academy, New England College, Norwich, New York University, Rhode Island College, Plymouth State, Roger Williams, Southern Maine, Springfield, Trinity, Wesleyan, Western New England, Williams and WPI.
