JWU + URI to Offer Dual Degree in Pharmacy and Physician Assistant Studies

9/5/18 |  Johnson & Wales University and The University of Rhode Island (URI) will offer a dual degree in pharmacy and physician assistant studies beginning in Fall 2018 — the first such collaboration between public and private universities in the country.

PA Students Earn Their White Coats

6/20/18 | On Friday, June 15, 36 students in the Class of 2019 Physician Assistant Studies program filed in to the front rows of Schneider Auditorium. Thirty-six white coats hung on a rack on stage as families, friends, faculty and university leadership filled the auditorium, waiting for the start of a rite of passage for the medical profession: The White Coat Ceremony.

JWU’s PA Program Achieves 100% Pass Rate

7/28/17 | For the second year in a row, 100% of JWU’s graduating class of physician assistants have passed the board certification exam administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. All 24 Class of 2017 students passed on the first try.

Johnson & Wales University has received the 2014 Providence Preservation Society (PPS) Historic Preservation Rehabilitation Award for the JWU Center for Physician Assistant Studies. The center was one of 8 preservation projects honored during a PPS symposium held in early November.
