JWU Providence to Host NCAA Division III Wrestling Regional

2/20/2019 | This February 23 and 24, JWU Providence will be hosting the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Wrestling Regional.

In addition to JWU’s top-ranked Wrestling team, the regional will also feature Bridgewater State, Castleton, the Coast Guard Academy, New England College, Norwich, New York University, Rhode Island College, Plymouth State, Roger Williams, Southern Maine, Springfield, Trinity, Wesleyan, Western New England, Williams and WPI. Athletics Highlights: GNAC Championship, DI Wrestling Matchup and More

11/5/18 | This past weekend was a busy and extremely successful one for JWU Providence Athletics. On Saturday, women’s volleyball won their fourth Great Northeast American Conference (GNAC) championship title with their 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-18) decision over Rivier. That same day, the #3-ranked wrestling team was put to the test against a pair of Division I programs, Rutgers and Fresno State, in New Brunswick, New Jersey. (In parallel, a JWU contingency also took part in the Ithaca College Invitational in upstate New York.)

JWU Wrestling Takes Center Stage at Inaugural Downtown Showdown

2/9/18 | For the first time ever, collegiate wrestling took the stage at the Providence Performing Arts Center for the Downtown Showdown. The fourth-ranked Johnson & Wales University wrestling team toppled local rival No. 20 ranked Roger Williams University, 28-12, on Thursday, February 8.

Women's Volleyball Set to Play NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal Thursday

With a dramatic, five-set win over the Massachusetts Institute of Technology this past Sunday in Providence, the Johnson & Wales University women's volleyball team advanced out of its National Collegiate Athletic Association regional bracket and opens play Thursday in the NCAA's Elite Eight. The undefeated Wildcats will play Thursday (8pm ET) against tournament host Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich., with a chance to advance to the national semifinals.

NCAA Selects JWU Providence to Host Women's Volleyball Tournament

11/6/2017 | The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced today that Johnson & Wales' Providence Campus will host Elms College, Wesleyan University, Wellesley College, Tufts University, UMass Boston, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Maine Maritime in the first round of women's volleyball tournament play beginning Friday, November 10 through Sunday, November 12.
