JWU Competes and Wins at 2018 SkillsUSA Conference

7/3/2018 | The 2018 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference drew more than 6,000 students from across the US — all regional winners in their career field — to Louisville, Kentucky, to compete in more than 100 different tests of leadership, technical and trade competencies. This year, 12 JWU students — the highest number in attendance to date — competed or took part in leadership events.

PA Students Earn Their White Coats

6/20/18 | On Friday, June 15, 36 students in the Class of 2019 Physician Assistant Studies program filed in to the front rows of Schneider Auditorium. Thirty-six white coats hung on a rack on stage as families, friends, faculty and university leadership filled the auditorium, waiting for the start of a rite of passage for the medical profession: The White Coat Ceremony.

JWU’s Oscar Chilabato Named AAF’s 2018 Distinguished Advertising Educator

5/9/18 | Oscar Chilabato, associate professor in the Johnson & Wales University’s College of Business, has been named the 2018 Distinguished Advertising Educator by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The annual award, which recognizes the best advertising professors in the United States, will be presented on June 9 at ADMERICA, the AAF’s national conference in Chicago.

Meet the 2015 Emeril Lagasse Scholars

In 2003, Johnson & Wales University partnered with Chef Emeril J. Lagasse '78, '90 Hon. to create a unique event dedicated to making culinary education more affordable. Since then, the annual Emeril Golf Classic has become a signature university event that benefits the Emeril Lagasse Endowed Scholarship Fund.

JWU Named to President’s Community Service Honor Roll

Johnson & Wales University again recognized by US President’s Honor Roll for Community Service | Only Rhode Island university to be honored “with distinction.”

Johnson & Wales University (JWU) has been selected for the 2014 President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service to America’s communities.

JWU’s Providence, North Miami, Denver and Charlotte campuses were honored in the “General Community Service” category. In addition, the Providence and North Miami Campuses were recognized in the “Education Community Service” category.
