New for 2015-16: Biology Bachelor’s Degree

Careers in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields have become increasingly important to our information-based and highly technological society.

Starting in 2015-16, JWU’s new Bachelor of Science in Biology will prepare students for careers in the growing fields of science, health sciences, and biological or medical technology.

Successful graduates of the program are academically prepared and qualified to apply for JWU’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to integrate your knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics — essential to the future of scientific progress.

You’ll be exposed to interactive and problem-based learning in the
classroom, laboratories and through optional internships.

Explore the molecular and cellular basis of life, the structure and function of organisms, and their ecological interactions.

Electives: Customize Your Degree
You can specialize in various areas of life science through electives that can also be used to pursue an internship, a faculty-directed work experience or a study abroad program.
