Tools of the Trade: Getting Inside Cyber Hacking

Before joining the College of Engineering & Design as an assistant professor, Brandon Catalan, CCE, CISSP, ACE, spent 10 years working for a Department of Defense contractor managing all cyber espionage operations. Four years ago, he started teaching cyber security at a number of universities across the region. Catalan has a master’s degree in National Security from the University of New Haven, a graduate certificate in Digital Forensics from Boston University and a number of industry-recognized IT and cyber certifications. One of the classes he teaches at JWU is Introduction to Operating Systems, which is where this interview took place.
