JWU ADTEAM is On a Roll as They Head to National Final

When it comes to the American Advertising Association’s (AAF) National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC), there’s a lot of secrecy. Teams are given numbers rather than names and must remain anonymous, and their campaign details cannot be revealed until the conclusion of the NSAC in June. However, without giving away too many details, students shared what it’s been like to spend the last eight months preparing an advertising campaign worthy of competition. And, strangely, it involved eating a lot of hot dogs.

Need a Good Marketing Campaign? There’s a Place For That.

As the school year comes charging to an end, students have to start preparing for moving out of their dorms — and figuring out what to do with all the stuff they've accumulated this year that definitely won't be fitting in the car for the trip home. Marketing students contemplated this common problem as they created the marketing strategy for the Move Out and Donate campaign, and they’ve unveiled the answer, or at least an angle to build their strategy on: Do you have stuff that you’re going to throw away? There's a place for that.

JWU’s Next ADTEAM

Joining JWU Providence’s ADTEAM — 2017 winner of the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) — is an option open to JWU students of any major. At a recent meeting for students interested in joining the ADTEAM or the ADCLUB, more than 60 students attended to hear from Associate Professors Oscar Chilabato and Christine Ure, who explained what the organizations are all about.
