Last Wednesday, we had the incredible opportunity to visit the neighboring town of Granagno, which is holds the reputation of being the best pasta in the world. All 33 of us got the chance to see the behind the scenes action of what really goes into making this pasta so special!

After the brief tour, we were able to shop in the showroom where we were able to purchase any kind of pasta imaginable including squid ink pasta!

After departing the factory, we visited the Villa San Marco which is in our town of Castellammare do Stabia. This villa was recently excavated and has only had about 45,000 visitors unlike the Pompei, who has had around 2 million visitors. It was so great to be walking in this incredible, huge villa that had so much history behind it.

We then were treated to a lovely 5 course farm to table meal from the initiative “Slow Food”. They are dedicated to using the freshest ingredients with no preservatives. This also happened to be St Joseph’s Day in Italy which is like their Father’s Day, so we enjoyed a traditional zeppole.
