It has been a very crazy week here at Waterfire Providence. We are all working on our November 9th fire, which is going to be one of the biggest fires of the season:) As my internship is coming to a close, I have taken some time to reflect on the knowledge I have learned in the classroom and how it applies to my day-to-day activities here at Waterfire.
In the events course at JWU, we learn how important it is to thank and reward volunteers. Professor Covino used the example of giving volunteers t-shirts or some sort of take-away. This past week Waterfire had a Halloween party for all of our volunteers because without our volunteers our events would not be the same. It was neat to see how Waterfire applies what I have learned in the classroom these last 3 years.
Hope you all have a fanstatic Monday!
