We arrived back in Koblenz, Wednesday evening from our “grand tour” through France. We went to 13 different wineries, and tried about 58 different wines. In our studies we have learned that wine tasting is not just about identifying flavors and aromas. When you fall in love with a wine it’s usually because of the feeling it gives you. Many times, it’s an association with a good memory.
There were two wines on our trip that I fell in love with. The first from Domaines Schlumberger: Gewurztraminer Grand CRU Kitterlé 2006. The second from Domaine De Mourchon: Tradition, red (a blend of Grenache, Syrah & Carignan grapes).
