Hotel visits

Ciao Tumblr!

This week we made two hotel visits. The first one was to the Crown Plaza in Castellamare di Stabia. It contained 4 meeting rooms with movable walls and were equipped with all nessessary AV equipment such as video projectors. These meeting rooms can hold up to 230 people when put into a theater set up. One of the bigger meeting rooms was surrounded by windows that gave a beautiful view of the Vesuvius. The resort holds many different events such as for food or beauty.
The resort used to be a cemetery until someone put the land to more use. They also work a lot with Asian cultures. The types of guest that stay at this crown plaza are groups for leisure or business people. The resort has a wellness center and outdoor pool. They offer fee wifi and satellite television for all guest. The marketing representative of the crown plaza, Luca, informed us that the logo for the resort is currently changing colors from red to violet. It was a small but cost place, I would return to.
The next hotel was the il San Pietro in a quiet town of Positano. The hotel had 60 rooms and each were unique to each other. They offer 24 hour shuttle to city center, for guest who enjoy the bar scene or night clubs. When looking out in the patio, you can get a view of Capri and Positano city center. This hotel is the only place in Positano where you can have this view. Il San Pietro first opened in 1970 after formally bring a villa. It started off with just 33 room and eventually expanded. There are five types of rooms. Some types are the deluxe, premiere and the standards that go for €620 per night. What makes the more pricier room are the ones facing Positano. This five star hotel is only opened from April to October, the season of nicer weather. Our guide explained that because the location if the hotel is too close to the sea, it isn’t suitable weather. He also explained that all of the plants and flowers are usually bloomed by the busy season and decorate the exterior of the hotel. During off seasons, the employees are granted vacation until the opening season. Il San Pietro owns the biggest amount if land for a hotel in the area. They also own two restaurant, one is a restaurant on the beach and the other is the main restaurant inside the hotel. The beach restaurant is only opened for breakfast breakfast and lunch. Both restaurant grow their own vegetable and herbs, close to the hotel. There’s us a pathway to the beach where you can reach it in 20 minutes or you can take the express elevator. On the pathway you pass the fitness/wellness center, olive trees, lemon trees, their garden and tennis court. The fitness/ wellness center was opened in 2002, based on guest demand.
This were my favorite hotel visits that we have done so far. Both were beautiful but my favorite was il San Pietro. If was so unique from what I have seen as five star hotels in the states. This trip was beneficial for all of us to see the different types of hospitality there is.
Until next time!
