Ciao Everyone

This week we traveled through the Amalfi Coast and went to Positano and Ravello. The Amalfi Coast is a popular destination in Italy, and it attracts thousands of domestic and international tourists annually. The first stop we made was in Positano were we explored the city on our own. Positano has about seventy hotels located in the main part of the city. Positano is also known for its beautiful beaches and linen clothes. Also Positano is one of the most photographed sites in Italy and used on post cards.

The second stop we made was to a small town called Ravello. Ravello is located at the top of the Dragone Valley. This small town is known for its charming architecture and amazing views. The town approximately has two thousand five hundred citizens. The most famous site we got to see in Ravello was the Villa Cimbrone Gardens. Ravello is also known for its musicians, Wagner a famous orchestra director is from the gardens of Ravello. This is a beautiful touristy town everyone should visit at least once in their life.

Amalfi Coast is the jewel of Campania. It is a very touristy place that draws thousands of people from all over the world. The one thing that I did not like about the Amalfi Coast was the lack of Italian culture. Set in the heart of Southern Italia I expected more culture and traditions. The tourist shops were full of touristy things that are not found in the area of Amalfi. As one of the largest tourism sights in Italia there should be more culture.
