re-CONNECTED Exhibit Showcases School of Engineering & Design Alumni

1/17/17 | The work of 21 alumni of JWU’s School of Engineering & Design will be on view in the gleaming new gallery of the John J. Bowen Center for Science and Innovation through May 4, 2017.

The show, titled “re-CONNECTED,” marks the gallery’s official grand opening, as well as JWU’s first-ever juried exhibition of alumni design work.

Celebrate the New Academic Building Dedication

8/30/16 | On September 1, JWU’s Providence Campus will officially open and dedicate its new academic building. The 3-storey, 71,000-square-foot John J. Bowen Center for Science and Innovation will serve as the new home of the School of Engineering & Design and the College of Arts & Sciences’ biology program.

Culinary/Design Collaboration Creates Menu Designs for Student Pop-Ups

2/11/16 | Every term, Chefs Delle Donne and Wesen’s Conscious Cuisine classes run what they call Chef’s Tables, where student teams collaborate, “Top Chef” Restaurant Wars-style, on a thematically-unified 6-course tasting menu.

Students from Deana Marzocchi’s Design Solutions class — 24 in all — worked with 8 culinary teams to create menu designs that fit their pop-up restaurant concepts.
