Wheat Stalk 2018 Brings Bakers, Educators + Entrepreneurs to JWU

Glenn Roberts, founder of Anson Mills; Jennifer Lapidus, founder of Carolina Ground; and Lionel Vatinet, master baker and owner of La Farm Bakery, will weigh in on how the rediscovery of ancient grains is having a major impact on the industry.

Peter Reinhart Named to 2015 Dessert Pro Hall of Fame

Chef Peter Reinhart, bread expert and instructor at JWU Charlotte, named to Dessert Professional’s Hall of Fame.

Dessert Professional’s list, which also includes their choices for the Top Ten Bread Bakers in America, “celebrates the world of artisan bread” by naming distinguished bakers who have mastered the art and technique of creating the perfect loaf” but are equally focused on ”teaching others and improving the quality of bread in America.”
