JWU Providence to Host NCAA Division III Wrestling Regional

2/20/2019 | This February 23 and 24, JWU Providence will be hosting the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Wrestling Regional.

In addition to JWU’s top-ranked Wrestling team, the regional will also feature Bridgewater State, Castleton, the Coast Guard Academy, New England College, Norwich, New York University, Rhode Island College, Plymouth State, Roger Williams, Southern Maine, Springfield, Trinity, Wesleyan, Western New England, Williams and WPI. JWU Culinary Students Serve Up New Dishes for Bruins and Celtics Fans

1/22/19 | Boston Bruins and Celtics fans are gaining a culinary experience direct from JWU’s College of Culinary Arts. As part of a multi-year partnership between TD Garden, the Boston Bruins and JWU, the university’s culinary arts students have created menu items available for a limited time to the patrons of Legends, the private, members-only restaurant and bar located on level 3 of TD Garden.

JWU Wrestling Returns to Providence Performing Arts Center

12/18/19 | It’s not every day that a regulation NCAA Wrestling mat gets rolled out onto the stage at Providence’s historic Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC). Saturday night brought collegiate wrestling to the former movie palace that typically hosts Broadway shows, concerts and comedians. The third-ranked Wildcats took on the Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals, ranked #7 in NCAA Division II.

JWU, RISD and Farm Fresh RI Share 2018 Food Vision Prize

11/13/18 | The combined power of two of the region’s prominent higher education institutions — one an internationally recognized food authority, one an internationally recognized design authority — and a venerable local food hub is changing the way college students eat.

Johnson & Wales University (JWU), Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Farm Fresh RI will share a 2018 New England Food Vision Prize, a $250,000 award from the Henry P. Kendall Foundation, to encourage colleges and universities to increase the amount of regionally-produced food on campus menus.
