JWU’s Oscar Chilabato Named AAF’s 2018 Distinguished Advertising Educator

5/9/18 | Oscar Chilabato, associate professor in the Johnson & Wales University’s College of Business, has been named the 2018 Distinguished Advertising Educator by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The annual award, which recognizes the best advertising professors in the United States, will be presented on June 9 at ADMERICA, the AAF’s national conference in Chicago.

Reuse Expert Alex Eaves Kicks Off JWU Sustainability Week

4/22/18 | Each year, JWU Providence’s Sustainability Week — which is always scheduled around Earth Day, April 22 — gets bigger and better. This year’s lineup includes tree plantings, free yoga by the water, Columbia Park clean-up, and the annual Sustainability Fair, which runs in tandem with JWU Global’s VegFest on April 25. The week kicked off with a visit from reuse expert Alex Eaves, a filmmaker, writer and “reuse pro.”

College of Online Education to Add 21 New Programs

3/27/18 | This fall, JWU will expand its online academic catalog, adding 21 new programs to its College of Online Education.

The addition of these programs, including recently announced doctorates in occupational therapy (OTD) and business administration (DBA), brings the university’s total online degree offerings to 56, more than half its 2022 goal of 90 programs.

Women's Basketball Wins JWU Charlotte's First National Championship

3/5/18 | The No. 2-ranked Johnson & Wales women's basketball team held quarterfinal and semifinal opponents to under 50 points heading into championship weekend in Lemont Furnace, Pa., then capped a magical season with a win over the nation's No. 1 seed, Central Maine Community College, to capture the USCAA Division II National Championship by a 75-64 margin on March 3.
