Can a student in an occupational therapy program find value in the culinary world? What about in design, marketing, or even equine studies? Associate Professor and Capstone Coordinator Amy Wagenfeld, PhD, OTR/L, SCEM, FAOTA, aims to prove that there is tremendous value in collaboration across disciplines with the Johnson & Wales Occupational Therapy Doctorate program. And it’s not on a whim — her entire career has been based on collaboration with unlikely partners to enhance life for those with physical, mental, and social-emotional disabilities.

Building a Legacy: PA Students Earn White Coats

On a brightly-lit stage on a beautifully sunny day in June, 35 white coats hung in wait for the members of the Class of 2020 Physician Assistant Studies program. The symbolic White Coat Ceremony at Johnson & Wales University, held at the mid-way point of the year-round, 24-month program, marks the beginning of students’ clinical training.
